Local Beer & Organic, Biodynamic Wine available at select Heine Bros locations

For years we have had customers request that we add beer & wine to our menu – saying that they love the atmosphere at Heine Brothers’, and would love a reason to come in during the evening to meet with friends and unwind (without caffeine). We’ve thought about it over and over again, and due to our lack of experience with alcoholic beverages, never took the first step. Lucky for us, through our merger with the locally-owned VINT Coffee, we now have people with the experience to make it happen!

Going along with our Fair-Trade * Organic * Louisville philosophy, the beer & wine that we have selected fit in well with what we’re all about.

HBC-Eastern Parkway (at Bardstown Road)

At this location, we feature Falls City Beer, making it’s return to Louisville. Newcomer Against The Grain has quickly become a Louisville favorite, and we have a rotating selection from them. Rounding out our beer line-up is New Albanian Brewing Company. Sure, New Albany, IN is not technically Louisville, KY – but we had to give our favorite Southern Indiana brewery some love, especially when it is closer to Downtown Louisville than a lot areas of Louisville are.

On the Wine list, we feature 3 whites, all that are organic, biodynamic, and/or sustainably-grown, as well as 2 reds that are as well. These have all been picked not just because of these characteristics, but because of their quality and taste.

HBC-Blankenbaker Parkway

Our newest location also features a rotating selection from Against the Grain, and New Albanian Brewing Company. We also feature a beer from Louisville-legends Bluegrass Brewing Company. We have worked with Bluegrass Brewing Company for years on different ventures, and are excited to feature them at this location.

On the Wine list, we feature the same wines as our other location, as well as a new addition: The Gotham Project. New to not only Heine Brothers’, but the Midwest, The Gotham Project is the brainchild of winemakers Charles Bieler and Bruce Schneider. They have created an eco-friendly way of storing & serving wine out of kegs, with great quality and taste. Sustainable might as well be our middle name, and once we heard about this project, we knew that we had to be involved.

Food

With great beer & wine, also comes great food. We’re proud to bring in several new food offerings to these locations. From a local beer cheese with local pretzel bread, to steamed edamame, to hummus and veggies with pita, and more.

We’re sure you’ll like our new offerings – and let us know if there is something else you’d like for us to try!
