Breaking New Grounds has been approved to take part in the Pepsi Refresh Project, where they could win a competitive $250,000 grant, to be used right here in Louisville!

What is Breaking New Grounds? BNG is a local grassroots non-profit, started by HBC, dedicated to economic development through sustainable agriculture. Essentially they want to create jobs through good food and sustainable practices in Louisville’s food deserts, areas of the city where there is little to no access to good healthy foods.

How can you help?

  1. Go to RefreshEverything.com/BreakingNewGrounds and VOTE! The first time you will have to register (which you can do using Facebook). It takes less than a minute!
  2. Text your vote! Text 102701 to Pepsi (73774). Standard text messaging rates apply.
  3. Do it again tomorrow! You can vote once a day, every day, through the end of September.
  4. Let your friends and family know! If Breaking New Grounds wins this grant, it would be a huge boost for Louisville. No organization in Kentucky has won yet, let’s help Breaking New Grounds become the first!
