On Monday, August 21, 2017, there will be a Total Eclipse of the Sun viewable from North America.

While the path of totality goes through the edge of Kentucky, here in Louisville we’ll be treated to a partial solar eclipse that’ll block out 96% of the sun. We’ll first start seeing the moon moving over the sun at about 1pm, with the eclipse finishing at 3:51pm – with the most coverage at 2:27pm. Viewing a solar eclipse without eye protection can cause significant damage to your sight.

Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade + Organic Fair Trade Espresso

We created this limited-time drink just for this event. While some customs call for espresso to be served with a lemon wedge, it isn’t common here in the US. We think our espresso served over fresh-squeezed lemonade compliment eachother nicely, and highlight some of the unique flavors of each.

When you purchase The Eclipse, Heine Brothers’ will donate 25 cents to the Kentucky Science Center!

DANGER!

Viewing a solar eclipse without special eclipse-viewing glasses can be extremely harmful to your eyes. Heine Brothers’ has partnered with WDRB to provide FREE Total Solar Eclipse Glasses at all Heine Brothers’ Coffee and Vint Coffee locations! Starting August 7, you get 1 FREE pair with any purchase, and you can buy more for $1 each – which will be donated to the Kentucky Science Center. Due to limited availability, there is a limit of 10 pair/day per person.

Post a selfie wearing your WDRB Total Solar Eclipse glasses with #eclipse2017 & #heinebroscoffee and you could win a $25 Heine Bros Gift Card!
