Thanks to all that participated in our Hurricane Relief fundraiser! With your help, we were able to donate almost $5,000 to the American Red Cross to provide Hurricane Relief in areas effected by the numerous hurricanes this summer.

About the American Red Cross:

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. As the nation’s premier emergency preparedness and response organization, the Red Cross is there to help and comfort people through devastating crises—from house fires to earthquakes. Survivors of disaster, patients needing lifesaving blood, members of the military and many more turn to the Red Cross every second of every day. With nearly 600 chapters across the U.S., the American Red Cross have a presence in every community; alongside their global Red Cross partners, they are part of the largest humanitarian network in the world. For more than 130 years, the American Red Cross has been helping neighbors down the street, across the country and around the world.

91 cents of every dollar donated to the Red Cross goes directly to relief, support and education efforts, with little organizational overheard. 95% of those who work for the Red Cross are volunteers. You may never need the Red Cross—but they’ve been there in the very worst case scenarios since 1881. Join them today by making a donation, volunteering, giving blood or taking a class. Donations to the Red Cross are tax deductible. You can learn much more about the organization and its efforts at their official website, RedCross.org.
